activity. Some of the impacts of changes that have become the center of attention, especially for
the manufacturing industry, are the increased potential for hazards in the production process and
work-related accidents (WRA). To reduce and prevent this, one aspect that plays an important role
is occupational safety. The application of occupational safety in a company can be viewed from

and the implementation of work safety in the workplace environment. Based on Company X, West
Java's work accident data, it was found that there had been 23 cases of work accidents in the last
two years (2020-2022). Therefore, a study was conducted on the analysis of the work safety climate
for workers at Company X, West Java. This research is a descriptive quantitative study and the
research instrument used is the Nordic Occupational Safety Climate Questionnaire (NOSACQ50). The sample of this study amounted to 378 workers in 13 departments. The results showed that
the average value of the safety climate at Company X, West Java was 2.94 which was categorized
as quite low and needed improvement. From 7 dimensions of the NOSACQ-50 safety climate, 3
dimensions have the lowest average score with a score of 2.91 are the dimension of empowerment
of work safety management, the dimension of safety management fairness and the dimension of
learning, communication and trust. With a fairly low level of safety climate, it is necessary to
evaluate and improve the implementation of work safety at Company X, West Java resulting in the
improving of the safety climate and reducing work accident cases among workers. |
