Therefore, it is necessary to minimize risk in the implementation of exploration activities, one of which is the drilling process to maintain its contribution to oil and gas production. Analysis of pore pressure characteristics is the first step to avoid drilling risks. However, the results of the pore pressure analysis based on well data will only provide a vertical pressure character. Where the pressure response in a subsurface layer is very high it is likely to be spread widely and not just at one point due to the causes of the overpressure itself. The process of estimating the value of the pore pressure is carried out using the equivalent depth method only at the shale interval. Based on the pressure data received, the reservoir zone is in a normal hydrostatic condition so that the reservoir interval will have a pressure that follows the normal hydrostatic trend. Several physical parameters with the help of wells and seismic data that are correlated with pressure values can be extracted so that they can provide an overview of the vertical and lateral distribution of the overpressure zone. Based on the results of the plot between pressure and velocity, it shows that the two physical parameters tend to give a good correlation, which is directly proportional to the hydrostatic normal zone. Meanwhile, in the overpressure zone, the increasing pressure value correlates with the constant velocity value which can interpret that the XXX field in the overpressure zone is caused by the loading mechanism. The estimation results of the pressure value show that the overpressure zone in the XXX field is at a value of 6000- 6500 psi starting from a massive formation with a loading mechanism due to loading above that interval and the velocity data values tend to be constant. Stratigraphic analysis is used to imagine the reservoir zone which avoid the overpressure zone. text
