Summary:Train is an alternative eco-friendly transportation and it can be used for short and long trips. However, train still produces pollution in form of noise. Noise is an “unwanted sound”. Train station, is a place where trains often pass, will receive noises from trains’ activities. So, the noise must be lower than the standard to prevent a negatives impact on visitor’s comfortability. Noise standard was evaluated with Lsm value which present day and night noise. Noise standard for train station refers to Kepmen LH Number 48 of 1996 for trade and services area, it is 70 dB(A) with tolerance +3 dB(A). Environmental noise in Bandung Station not the same value for every location. Areas with environmental noise higher than the standard are the south waiting room and platform area. Based on the survey, visitors feel the environmental noise in Bandung Station is annoying, has impacts in human body, disturb communication, and cover the announcements. Controlling methods recommendation is increase the machine’s efficiency, build absorbent in locomotive, build barriers in platform area, and give more distance between the waiting room and the train tracks.
