One of the high-density areas in West Bandung Regency, with priority sub-districts of agriculture, animal husbandry, and agro-tourism, namely Lembang District, has great potential in the utilization of food waste processing results. In this study, a waste sampling method was used with reference to SNI 19-3964-1994, as well as a questionnaire and interview sampling by counting the number of respondents based on the Yamane (1963) formula. The sampling results will then be used for laboratory tests to see the characteristics of the food waste produced in Lembang District to determine the best type of processing for food waste. Based on the sampling and lab test results, the generation of food waste in the Lembang District reached 9.74 tons/day, equivalent to 56.93% of the total waste generated. Food waste composition is dominated by vegetables and fruit, followed by rice, pasta, bread, and seeds and skins. The projection of food waste generation in the next ten years is 59.51 tons/day with a volume of 186.04 m3/day. Waste density is 320 kg/m3 with moisture content, volatile content, ash content, heat, and C/N are 51.45%, respectively; 76.23%; 23.77%; 4685 kcal/g ; 12.4. Food waste processing technology is then determined using the Simple Additive Weighting method. Of the five technologies, namely anaerobic digestion, aerobic digestion, incinerator, gasification/pyrolysis and BSF (Black Soldier Fly), BSF was chosen as the best technology because the value of economic parameters, characteristics, environmental utilization, efficiency, and processing products that refer to secondary data is greater compared to the other four technologies. Thus, from the results of material flow analysis (MFA), it was found that in one day, waste processing with BSF produced 1.17 tons of wet fertilizer, 1.96 tons of compost, and 0.39 tons of animal feed. The recommendation for the flow of food waste processing in Lembang District also refers to the stages of waste management from PP No. 81 of 2012, which consists of sorting, collecting, transporting, processing, and final processing. It also refers to the Hierarchy of Waste Management (WRAP). Recommendations for the flow of food waste processing start from a reduction at the source by composting and feeding animals by 30% of the total food waste produced. Then 40% of the food waste is sorted and sent to communal processing, which the local government has served 100%. The total food waste processed with BSF is 3.92 tons/day and can be used for animal feed, wet fertilizer, and animal manure. text
