STUDI ADAPTASI FISIOLOGIS MANUSIA DALAM KONDISI LUAR BUMI: METABOLISME TUBUH MANUSIA DALAM LINGKUNGAN BERTEMPERATUR EKSTREM

Humans have a very close relationship with the environment. There are various forms of interaction between humans and the environment, one of which is energy transfer. The transfer of energy from humans to the environment and vice versa is related to the rate of heat flow in the human body. Tempe...

There are various forms of interaction between humans and the environment, one of which is energy transfer. The transfer of energy from humans to the environment and vice versa is related to the rate of heat flow in the human body. Temperature is one of the physical parameters that affect the rate of heat flow. Metabolism is one of the processes in the human body that is in line with the energy conservation process. The energy input from food and oxygen is used by the human body to do many things and the body produces heat. The rate of heat flow in the human body is closely related to body temperature and environmental temperature. The human body has a mechanism in temperature regulation, the body can adapt well to a certain temperature range, beyond that range humans need to make extra efforts to maintain their temperature to remain normal. Changes in metabolic rate cause an increase or decrease in human body temperature. Currently, the exploration and colonization of other places beyond Earth is widely discussed. Regarding the metabolism of the human body, research on the temperature of other places outside the Earth is an important thing that needs to be studied because it has an impact on the metabolic rate of the human body. This Final Project research focuses on the impact of extreme environmental temperatures elsewhere outside Earth on the metabolic rate and body temperature of humans. Based on the calculation results from this simple model, we can do a linear estimation of the maximum duration humans can survive in other places outside the Earth whose temperature is very different from the average temperature of the Earth. text
