Due to the complexity of this surgical procedure, skills and training are required to reduce complications that may arise during or after surgery. Provision of prophylactic antibiotics aims to maintain the postoperative wound environment. Inaccuracy in giving prophylactic antibiotics has the risk of causing surgical wound infections (ILO). Analysis of drug-related problems (DRP) in the use of prophylactic antibiotics can be qualitatively using the Gyssens method and quantitatively using the Anatomy Therapeutic Chemical/Defined Daily Dose (ATC/DDD) method to determine the value of DDD and Drug Utilization (DU) 90%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the use of prophylactic antibiotics used, to analyze the effect of the use of prophylactic antibiotics to the incidence of ILO, and to compare the incidence of ILO in patients with preoperative antibiotic prophylaxis with patients without prophylactic antibiotics. The study was carried out retrospectively by taking medical record data samples from patients who underwent surgery for third molars in March 2021 - March 2022. The results showed that there were 15.64% of medical record data with proper use of antibiotics and 84.36% with inaccuracies. delivery time. Results Based on DDD calculations, amoxicillin and ceftriaxone were the most widely administered prophylactic antibiotics and were included in the 90% DU segment, which means that 90% of the prophylactic antibiotics used were amoxicillin and ceftriaxone. The results of the analysis showed that there were no antibiotic problems with ILO given or not given/without antibiotics. text
