Nickel deposits are divided into 2 types, namely primary nickel and secondary nickel. Nickel deposits in Indonesia include secondary nickel (nickel laterite). Laterite nickel formation process begins when ultramafic rocks are exposed on the surface, then due to the influence of tropical climate, geological structure, topography, chemical reagenis, vegetation, and lime, the rock undergoes a weathering process, due to weathering the elements have low mobility to immobile such as Ni, Fe and Cr undergo residual and secondary enrichmeni, this is called lateritization process. In Indonesia, nickel mining has been carried out a lot, therefore it is necessary to explore in other potential areas so that the amount of nickel resources is increased. In this study, the process of estimating nickel resources in the saprolite zone with 5 major elements, named Ni, Co, Fe, SiO2, and MgO, was carried out using the ordinary kriging method with flattening treatment and dynamic anisotropy. This process begins with domaining PT ANTAM' exploration data to determine the saprolite zone drilled by using statistical methods Ihen creating a database in the form of collar, survey, and assay data for modelling the saprolite layer with Datamine Studio RM software . Then the saprolite model is to be processed into block model in23mx 12. 3mx Im size. The next process is variogram modeling. The results of ihe variogram modeling are then used as parameters to estimate the resource of the ordinary kriging method with flattening and dynamic anisotropy treatments. The estimation results show the amount of nickel resource is 25499700 wmt with an average grade of 244 for the flattening treatment and 25337400 wmt with an average grade of 2.446 for the dynamic anisotropy treatment. Based on the results of comparison, both Ireatments have high accuracy in estimating resource wilh nickel content estimated » 1.846, pyrometallurgical processing (RKEF) can be carried oul so that the estimated nickel resource in the study area can be started to have reasonable prospects for hereinafter referred as resources. text
