Description
Summary:Mine design is one component or stage in a series of mine planning activities. Geotechnical aspects need to be considered in mine design to ensure that the mine designs made can be realized in the field and mining operations can run safely and smoothly. PT XYZ is a coal mining company that applies the open pit mining method in its mining operations. One of the problems faced by PT XYZ in mining operations is the stability of the low wall slope where there is a landslide on the slope. Geotechnical analysis related to the stability of the low wall slope has been carried out and based on the results of the geotechnical analysis it is recommended to slope the entire low wall slope to 270 degrees. It is recommended to form a single slope on the low wall to be 10 meters or 30 meters with a slope following the slope of the coal seam or rocks forming the low wall slope. Based on these recommendations, it is necessary to redesign the life of mine design of PT XYZ. The research resulted in a redesign of PT XYZ's life of mine which has been adapted to the geotechnical recommendations given and takes into account other related aspects of mine design.
