In dealing with said emotion, the author chooses to repress it without processing it through and wanting to throw it away as far as he can. But, those feelings are not supposed to be repressed and the need to be addressed in some way. Through the drawing medium, the author tries to express his repressed fears. The author interpret drawing as a way of mark- making on a surface and through those marks leaves feelings that the artist felt. Through charcoal which are dusty and fragile, the author presents a visual of an imaginary landscape. The imaginary landscape symbolizes the author’s surrounding in which he regularly neglects appreciating due to being obstructed by the fears inside. The author also realizes the importance of giving attention to his personal fear, his surroundings, and himself because the connection between them heavily effects in creating balance in the author’s personal life
