A concrete proof of this technological adoption can be seen as Indonesia has just released a standard regulating the design of retrofitting utilizing FRP in the year 2021. FRP is categorized based on its material, one of them being the Carbon Reinforced Polymer. This material is advantageous as it has a lightweight property, a non-corrosive property, and its high tensile strength property. The application of FRP is also suitable in areas difficult to work with whereas conventional retrofitting methods such as concrete jacketing, externally bonded steel plates, and externally bonded pretension cables might not be adequate. This report will discuss regarding the application of CFRP used to retrofit a structure. The structure analyzed in this report is a structure built using the old Indonesia standard of the year 2002. There is a suspicion that the structure must be retrofitted to be able to meet the requirements of the latest standard earthquake resistant structure in Indonesia of the year 2019. The CFRP will be employed to strengthen the flexural strength of beam, the shear strength of beam, the axial-flexural strength of columns, and the shear strength of column. The design code which is referred to in this report is the ACI 440.2R-17 or its adapted equivalent the SNI 8971-2021. text
