Summary: | The piping system on Lima field, has experienced large deformation due to subsidence. Subsidence is the motion of a surface (usually earth’s surface) as it shifts downward relative to a datum such as sea level. It is causes the geohazard loads occurred to the piping system, so that the strength integrity analysis is needed to evaluate the safety of piping system.<p>This final project will conduct strength analysis using piping software named AutoPIPE 2004 based on ASME B31.3 code for Piping Process at Chemical Refinery and Petroleum Plant to evaluates the stress level of piping system whether it still under Code allowable stress. Ultimate stress analysis is also conducted to estimate remaining life of piping system due to yielding failure.<p>From analysis result using the AutoPIPE 2004, there are several piping system experienced over stress due to operation loads and subsidence load. The overstress can be reduced by adding pipe supports on the location close to critical point. Finally, by the ultimate stress analysis, remaining life of piping system can be calculated, as a mitigation step to protect the piping system.<pBecause the overstress of piping system at topside platform has been occurred, so the mitigation actions have to be conducted. The mitigation action can be taken are additional pipe support, rerouting, online monitoring et cetera. <br />
