Summary: | Learning activities while playing is a fun thing for a child. In the learning by
playing method, the use of learning aids is important. This study examines the
design of learning aids in the Montessori method at the education level of preschool children on the development of children's socio-emotional skills. The use of
learning aids has an influence on the effectiveness of receiving material in
improving the socio-emotional skills of pre-school age children. The research was
conducted with the stages of observation, distributing questionnaires, and
interviews to determine the effect of using Montessori apparatus to support socioemotional development and the effectiveness of absorption of learning materials
for pre-school age children in learning activities. The research aims to produce
design criteria for learning aids that can provide socio-emotional stimulation to
pre-school age children, be a consideration for parents and educational
institutions to choose the right learning aids for children, as well as a reference
for the toy industry with an educational approach product development.
