Research on groundwater quality is needed to support the SDGs 2030 program for clean water and sanitation. This study aims to determine geological and hydrogeological conditions, analyze groundwater quality, and identify the influence of mining activities on groundwater quality in the research area. The research area is divided into two geomorphological units, namely Alluvial Plain Unit and Undulating Hill Unit. The bedrock in the study area is composed of alluvial deposit harzburgite 2, harzburgite 1, and dunite. The aquifers in the study area are unconfined aquifers found in the limonite and saprolite zones. Ten groundwater samples were taken from DAS 1, DAS 2, and the Pesauha Levee in 2021. Parameters tested in the laboratory include pH, TDS, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, carbonate, bicarbonate, sulfate, chloride, iron, lead, copper, and hexavalent chromium. Based on PERMENKES No. 492 of 2010, the parameters that did not meet the drinking water standards were pH, Mg, and Fe at the point kml5, while for sanitation hygiene purposes based on PERMENKES No. 32 of 2017 the parameter that did not meet the standard is the pH. Hydrogeochemical analysis and interpretation were carried out using a Piper diagram and a Gibbs diagram. The results of the analysis show that the groundwater facies in the study area is dominated by the MgHCO3 facies. The dominant factor that controls the hydrogeochemical composition in the study area is rock-groundwater interactions. text |

Water is one of the important agents in the formation of nickel laterite. The chemical composition of groundwater can be influenced by interactions between groundwater with aquifer rocks and anthropogenic activities.
