INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/69919 At the beginning of 2020, all countries in the world including Indonesia have contracted a disease with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus which has weakened many sectors of human life, one of the affected sectors is transportation sector. Uncertainty due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation will have an impact on individual travel choices and behaviors. Such extraordinary circumstances call for different actions during the pandemic situations and post-pandemic situations. The purpose of this study is to analyze the resilience of post-pandemic public transportation from the perspective of actors' decisions for daily activities on mass transit buses in Greater Bandung Metropolitan. Data collection was carried out using field surveys consisting of questions regarding travel characteristics, socioeconomic, and factors that influence travel decisions by post-pandemic public transportation which is grouped into upper-middle-income groups and lowermiddle-income groups. Data is processed using multiple linear regression which refers of the theory of planned behavior. The results of the study show that there are differences in the factors that influence the decision to use public transportation between the lower middle class and the upper middle class after COVID-19 pandemic. The differences in these factors can be seen from the results that have significant values. From the two income groups, there are three (3) factors in common that can influence the respondent's decision, namely the comfort factor, capacity settings, and arrival information. These three factors must be maintained or improved in service because they are the main factors in the decision of post-pandemic movement actors to use mass transit buses. text |

At the beginning of 2020, all countries in the world including Indonesia have
contracted a disease with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus which has weakened
many sectors of human life, one of the affected sectors is transportation sector.
Uncertainty due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation will have an impact
on individual travel choices and behaviors. Such extraordinary circumstances call
for different actions during the pandemic situations and post-pandemic situations.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the resilience of post-pandemic public
transportation from the perspective of actors' decisions for daily activities on mass
transit buses in Greater Bandung Metropolitan. Data collection was carried out
using field surveys consisting of questions regarding travel characteristics, socioeconomic, and factors that influence travel decisions by post-pandemic public
transportation which is grouped into upper-middle-income groups and lowermiddle-income groups. Data is processed using multiple linear regression which
refers of the theory of planned behavior.
The results of the study show that there are differences in the factors that influence
the decision to use public transportation between the lower middle class and the
upper middle class after COVID-19 pandemic. The differences in these factors can
be seen from the results that have significant values. From the two income groups,
there are three (3) factors in common that can influence the respondent's decision,
namely the comfort factor, capacity settings, and arrival information. These three
factors must be maintained or improved in service because they are the main factors
in the decision of post-pandemic movement actors to use mass transit buses. |
