The concept of parametric design is a concept that is used to produce machine tool designs with different dimensions just by changing a few variables so that it can shorten the time in redesigning a machine tool. The parametric design of the spindle is carried out to produce variations of the spindle design. Stacking Tolerance analysis is used as an analytical medium in the search for the best variation of each geometric tolerance that will affect the performance of a spindle based on the recommended standard. Geometric specifications in designing the spindle of the Okuma-Howa ACT3 CNC lathe according to ISO 13041–1, including standard testing of radial runout spindle bore. Parametric design and stacking tolerance analysis were performed on the spindle of a CNC lathe by making the parametric model and combining with the stacking tolerance model. After all done, the result is an application of prototype parametric design, with the hope of facilitating the user in varying the CNC lathe spindle. text |
