In this final project, swimlane diagram is studied as workflow modeling technique in data warehouse refreshment process and use it in data warehouse refreshment system development In the beginning step, the things that have been doing is analyze the problem in data warehouse refreshment, analyze composing data warehouse refreshment sub process, analyze making swimlane diagram for data warehouse refreshment, analyze implementation swimlane diagram in refreshment system development and also analyze the advantage and drawback swimlane diagram in refreshment process representation. Afterward, refreshment process development is done based on swimlane diagram for the model case. Implementation of refreshment process development is done with SQL Server 2000 DBMS. This development process is used to show swimlane diagram implementation as a workflow refreshment process modeling technique in refreshment system development. Refreshment process can be devided into three sub process, namely extraction sub process, transformation integration sub process and loading process. That sub process itself can be optimalism to maximize data pararelism and partition in refreshment process. That sub processes itself can be triggered with specific event to optimalize and synchronize the process. One of advantage swimlane diagram is ability to support modularitation to develop refreshment system with defining actor as a modul. The drawback of swimlane diagram is not able to represent the data in refreshment process text |
