Summary:PT Badak NGL is an operating company that operates LNG/LPG Plant in Indonesia. The Plant is situated in Bontang, East Kalimantan. In the organization structure, Maintenance Department plays a significant role in maintaining the plant. To manage all work requests addressed to Maintenance Department, a work order system is applied. In the period 2017 until 2020, work order ageing tends to increase. In 2017, the total work order ageing was 1.16 %, equal to 279 Work Order, while in 2018, 2019, 2010 total work order ageing was 811, 1237, 1819, respectively. This research begins by obtaining work order ageing data from Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and discussion with Supervisors in Maintenance Department. Increasing work order ageing has been analyzed by pareto analysis and the fishbone method. The analysis reveals that there are some root causes that contribute to increase work order ageing. Specific work order status such as Ready to Schedule, In Planning and waiting material non-stock are the main focus for analyzing why work order ageing increase. Alternative solutions have been proposed where Maintenance Manual document as the main guidance in Maintenance Department shall be revised to regulate and define the new items such as backlog management, backlog measurement, task observation and performance indicators. Some operating procedure shall be revised and developed due to updating Maintenance Manual. In implementation plan, the management commitment is the main part and success factor to implement all alternative solutions. Furthermore, stakeholders shall understand the new system that will be implemented in Maintenance Department to acquire their support and contribution in the future.
