Machine tools are designed with precision and stiffness according to requirements. Changes in variations in working dimensions and machine tool dimensions will require a new design to continue to meet the criteria, especially in terms of the precision or stiffness of the machine. That is an inefficient process considering that making a new design to meet the desired specifications takes quite a lot of time. The solution to this problem is the use of parametric design concepts. This concept defines the shape of an object by using parameters so that changes or exploration of the shape on the platform design can be done by only changing one or several parameters. This parametric design serving shortens the time needed to redesign processes in a machine. In this study, parametric designs were carried out on the structure of a manual lathe machine that includes the headstock, bed, carriage, and tailstock. The parametric models were made to determine the relationship between parameters on the structure of the manual lathe machine. The workpiece dimension on the machine tool as input is converted into a static load on the machine tool. The result or output of parametric design is a prototype of a manual lathe parametric design application with stiffness equal to the reference stiffness of the platform. text
