Summary: | Parametric design is a method that defines the shape of an object or component using
parameters. By using parametric design, various kinds of product designs can be created
from existing products without the need to start the design process from scratch. An example
of its application is the analysis of the parametric design of the main components of a vertical
CNC milling machine which was carried out in Favian's final project [4]. On that final
project, the dimensions of the main components of the VMC 500 vertical CNC milling
machine are obtained with respect to the dimensions of the workpiece while maintaining the
precision of the machine. These dimension variations are still scattered in several different
matrices and images and in several different software, so it is difficult to see the results. In
this final project, a media in the form of an interface will be developed that will make it
easier for users to see the results of the analysis of the parametric design of the vertical CNC
milling machine. The interface will be developed using the Python programming language
with the Streamlit framework. |
