Description
Summary:Jakarta and Bandung need to be connected, because these two cities are the two major cities in Indonesia. Jakarta Bandung high speed train is one of the government's steps to maintain the current momentum of economic growth. Jakarta Bandung high speed train is used to connect Jakarta and Bandung, but there are no plans established for high spreed train station in Bandung. Therefore, it is necessary to connect nearest planned station and Bandung with feeder mode. Research is needed to find out the factors that influence mode choice and probability of choosing feeder mode for Jakarta Bandung high speed train beetwen Padalarang Station and Bandung. This research uses multinomial logit model. Probability analysis, and sensitivity analysis. Based on results of mode choice modelling, factors that influence the choice of train are train travel time, car travel time, car price per km, gender, and travel purpose. Factors that influence the choice of bus are frequncy of travel and number of car ownership. Factors that influence the choice of taxi are car travel time, gender, and travel purpose. Probability of mode choice are train is 55,15%, car is 5,38%, bus is 0,06%, and taxi is 35,40%. The order of the most sensitive variables to the least sensitive variables are train travel time, car travel time, and car price per km. Basen on research, increase the price per km of car and decrease the time of train travel to increase the probability of train if there is traffic jam caused by high number of car used.
