Along with the increase in population, the need for water is absolute because almost all human activities require water. Dams can pose potential disaster hazards, one of which is flooding if a dam collapses. The Pelosika Dam is one of the dams planned by BWS Sulawesi IV with a storage volume of 822.56 million m3. The Pelosika Dam is planned to be able to supply an irrigation area of 20 thousand ha, a raw water supply of 750 liters/second, 2 x 10.5 MW hydropower. As the downstream area of the dam develops, it is necessary to study the flood hazard index due to dam collapse in an effort to minimize the impact. Flood hydrograph modeling due to dam collapse using HEC-HMS produces extreme conditions in the overtopping scenario with a peak discharge of 56719.7 m3/s. Inundation due to dam collapse is modeled using HEC-RAS, where the area of inundation that occurs due to the bottom piping scenario is 38225.13 ha. The final result obtained is a risk index map where there are 177 inundated villages in Konawe District and 30 inundated villages in South Konawe District. Based on the results of the analysis of the flood hazard index referring to the BNPB regulations, 194 villages were found to be in the high risk category and 13 villages were included in the medium risk index category. text |
