Description
Summary:Flood is the main problem that often occurs in the Citarum River.???? The lack of storage capacity in water bodies/ canals while the high rainfall that occurred caused the overflow of water to inundate settlements in the Upper Citarum Basin residential area, one of these areas, namely the Dayeuh Kolot area.???? Cieunteng Retarding Pond, the Cisangkuy Floodway, and the Nanjung Tunnel are the flood control infrastructures in Dayeuh Kolot. The aim of this study is to increase the Upper Citarum River and reduce the flood water level in the Dayeuh Kolot. This research was carried out by conducting hydrological analysis using the HMS HEC program with the SCS - CN method (20- year return period discharge calibration). In addition, hydraulical analysis using HEC RAS in the Upper Citarum River is to determine the profile of the channel and the influence of flood control infrastructure in the basin. This study shows that without flood control infrastructure, the Dayeuh Kolot area will experience water runoff as high as +- 0.5 m; with the existence of the Ciunteng retention pond, runoff in the area is only able to reduce 0.1 cm;????with the existence of the Cieunteung retention pond and the Cisangkuy Floodway, water runoff in the area can only be reduced by 0.5 m; and with the existence of the Cieunteng retention pond, the Cisangkuy floodway, and the Nanjung tunnel, the Dayeuh kolot area was also only able to decrease by 15 cm. In addition, with the handler concept that the author studied by adding 8 boxes of culverts measuring 2x2 meters, it was able to lower the flood water level in the stodgy area by 0.4 m
