Summary: | Tourism in the context of COVID-19 reveals how local communities are the locus of change. The spread of the virus that has not been controlled has stopped mobility and forced people to stay at home. The result of staying at home for months is one of the reasons why people experience anxiety disorders. Therefore, when you have the opportunity to travel to tourist destinations, you tend to choose tourist attractions that make you relax, such as nature tourism. In addition, the fear of contracting the virus from other people also influences the preference settings of consumers who seek more intimate tourist attractions and only travel in micro numbers. .
In Cihideung Village, Parongpong District, there is an agro-tourism area where various types of orchid species and other flowers grow with various attractive shapes and colors. Cihideung Village is a place for small-scale farming, now it has developed into a 'flower tourism area' because various types of flower plants can be seen along the village. Various types of flower plants from ornamental flower plants to cut flower plants are flowers that are made for decoration.
From the results of the analysis, the community of ornamental flower and cut flower farmers in Cihideung Agrotourism Village has a fairly good level of adaptation, this can be seen from the ability of cut plant farmers to switch to marketing ornamental plant cultivation. As well as the transfer of knowledge carried out by Gapoktan (a combination of farmer groups) so that the flower farming community in Cihideung Village was able to survive during the Covid-19 pandemic.
