The influence of anthropogenic can be seen from the changes of antropogenic carbon and the acidity (pH) of sea water. The data used for this study consist of Total Alkalinity (TA), Oxygen (O2), and Dissolved Inorganic Carbon (DIC) from Science for Protection of Indonesian Coastal Marine Ecosystem (SPICE) III cruise from 5th of October 2012 to 13th of October 2012, VOS Pacific Celebes cruise in 2007, and model result from Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC). The result from this study shows a strong distribution of anthropogenic carbon from Musi River to the south by sea current. The amounts of mean anthropogenic carbon to the south are 33.70 ?mol/kg (Northern Bangka Island), 102.3902 ?mol/kg (Bangka Strait) 66.01?mol/kg (Eastern South Sumatra), 80.55 ?mol/kg (Eastern Lampung), while in the Musi River is 20.23 ?mol/kg and 53.97 ?mol/kg in estuary. Based on the calculation, an increase of anthropogenic carbon in the eastern coast of South Sumatra by 63.67 ?mol/kg from 2007 to 2012 can be seen. This anthropogenic carbon changes caused the change of 0.16 in pH for the same time period. text |

ABSTRACT
The Antrophogenic Carbon in the eastern coast of Sumatra is calculated by Tracer
combining Oxygen, inorganic Carbon and total Alkalinity (TrOCA). The influence of
anthropogenic can be seen from the changes of antropogenic carbon and the acidity (pH) of
sea water. The data used for this study consist of Total Alkalinity (TA), Oxygen (O2), and
Dissolved Inorganic Carbon (DIC) from Science for Protection of Indonesian Coastal
Marine Ecosystem (SPICE) III cruise from 5th of October 2012 to 13th of October 2012,
VOS Pacific Celebes cruise in 2007, and model result from Carbon Dioxide Information
Analysis Center (CDIAC).
The result from this study shows a strong distribution of anthropogenic carbon from
Musi River to the south by sea current. The amounts of mean anthropogenic carbon to the
south are 33.70 ?mol/kg (Northern Bangka Island), 102.3902 ?mol/kg (Bangka Strait)
66.01?mol/kg (Eastern South Sumatra), 80.55 ?mol/kg (Eastern Lampung), while in the
Musi River is 20.23 ?mol/kg and 53.97 ?mol/kg in estuary. Based on the calculation, an
increase of anthropogenic carbon in the eastern coast of South Sumatra by 63.67 ?mol/kg
from 2007 to 2012 can be seen. This anthropogenic carbon changes caused the change of
0.16 in pH for the same time period. |
