Talent management is part of competency-based human resource management. Talent mapping needs to be done to be able to do talent management well. Currently, there are intermediate level employees that is not match with their position (there is a gap between employee competencies and job competencies). Using 5whys method, it was found that this is due to the absence of design for talent mapping system. In this study, a talent mapping information system was designed to assist organization in carrying out talent mapping so that they can overcome that problem and the organization can carry out direction from the government to implement talent management. The talent pool model used to map talents is a 9-box matrix in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of PANRB RI Number 3 of 2020. The method used to design the system is Framework for the Application of System Thinking (FAST). The steps for designing the FAST method are: scope definition, problem analysis, system requirements analysis, process modeling, data modeling, and user interface design. The result of this study is a talent mapping information system prototype that was built with Microsoft Excel VBA Macros. Verification and validation are done to the prototype. With this information system, the talent mapping process can run automatically and generate talent pool data that can be used as a basis for decision making and policies in managing human resources. Therefore, through this information system, organization will be able to get the right employees in the right positions at the right time. text
