Description
Summary:In 2020, the Ministry of Health in Indonesia confirmed that most of the patients with Tuberculosis (TB) cases occurred at productive age, and according to the Bandung City Health Office in 2021, the country ranked 2nd after India with the highest number of tuberculosis cases in the world based on the Data Global Record. Based on this, it is feared that there will be a massive increase in Tuberculosis cases that can threaten the Bandung City area if not treated well starting from now on. In this Thesis, a mathematical model will be constructed that can represent the dynamics of Tuberculosis cases which are reviewed based on the age structure of the Bandung city area. The model is built following the SEIR model for cases of disease spread. Based on the model, two equilibrium conditions were obtained: disease-free and disease-endemic equilibrium conditions. The existing model will be used to approach data that can be used to determine the level of disease transmission so that the amount of the primary reproductive number for the disease is obtained tuberculosis in the Bandung city area. Furthermore, the basic reproductive numbers of the disease were observed to determine whether tuberculosis in adulthood significantly affected the cases that occurred at the child’s age.
