These problems is the serious problems because it threaten the human existence on the earth. So, it should be some effort to overcome it, by designing the new mean of transportation. Then it is suggested the new individual transportation mean, which is a hovering skateboard named the Hoverboard, as a solution. The design based on air cushion technology like hovercraft does. From this final project, there are 2 hoverboard models made and tested. The first model has 500 x 1000 mm dimension and the second is 300 x 800 mm. Both use a 1500 W vacuum cleaner fan. The main problem rising is the stability. Instability then can be reduced by applying the separated plenum chamber. The observation results on testing then being converted on the preliminary design of the Hoverboard. When the more suitable material and better work applied on this design, the model resulted will be more stable than the previous two models. text
