Furthermore, cities in Indonesia have taken one step closer to being a bike-friendly city, Bandung City being one of them. The Road-Owned Space (RUMIJA) in the city of Bandung which has a width which is not too large leads to conflicts between motorized vehicles and non-motorized vehicles that is bicycle lead to traffic accidents. Safe bike paths will increase cycling confidence which has an impact on the presence of new cyclists. The design of bicycle path which consider the feeling insecure aspect of users is important. Therefore, it is important to conduct research on the formulation of bicycle path design standards on the shared space street concept which considers the feeling insecure aspect of bicycle users in the city of Bandung. This research was an exploratory research which examined the design of bicycle path on the shared space street concept. Moreover, data collection was conducted through literature studies related to bicycle path standards and the concept of shared space street based on scientific documents and laws and regulations, field observations on road corridors with bicycle path, and questionnaires to bicycle users in the city of Bandung regards to the perceptions and preferences of feeling insecure when cycling on bicycle path. This study shows the need for feeling insecure has an effect on the adjustment of bicycle path design standards on aspects of security and safety along with the perception and preference tendencies and characteristics of bicycle users in the city of Bandung. Bicycle path design standards are formulated to overcome the problems which exist in bicycle path in the city of Bandung. Thus, the design standard becomes a reference in providing the design components needed to be able to realize a safe bicycle path even though they have to share space with other road users. text
