Description
Summary:Corrosion is the deterioration of a material due to interaction with its environment. It is the process in which metallic atoms leave the metal or form compounds in the presence of water and gases. All metals and alloys are subject to corrosion. Even though this corrosion cannot be eliminated, it can be controlled. One way to controlled corrosion is by knowing how corrosion was built and then derivate math equation that describe the effect of inhibitor to the rate of corrosion. Hopefully, the equation is representative enough to describe the mechanism of corrosion and the effect of adding inhibitor into the system can be shown.
