NEW HYSTERESIS CURRENT CONTROLLER FOR GRID-CONNECTED INVERTER THREE-PHASE INVERTER WITH REDUCED LOSSES

This paper presents a new hysteresis current controller concept for a three-phase grid-connected inverter with reduced losses. This concept combines the advantages of single-band hysteresis current control techniques and discontinuous PWM which satisfies pulse polarity consistency rule, therefore...

INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/70536 This paper presents a new hysteresis current controller concept for a three-phase grid-connected inverter with reduced losses. This concept combines the advantages of single-band hysteresis current control techniques and discontinuous PWM which satisfies pulse polarity consistency rule, therefore reduces switching frequency over the same level of harmonic content. To further reduce the switching losses due to the redundant phase, one phase of the inverter is clamped for a duration of one third of the fundamental output period. Analytical model of this newly proposed controller has also been derived. Simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed controller. text
