Summary: | Waste4Change is a responsible waste management company. One of the waste that
is processed is garden waste which can reach 800 kg/day. The processing of garden
waste that has been carried out is the composting method. However, due to the
large input, long processing time, and limited land, the processing is not effective,
so a more effective technology is needed for treating garden waste. Technology
selection is based on 9 sub-criteria and uses the AHP method to select the most
appropriate technology. The selected technology is biodrying fermentation.
Biodrying is a process of softening and drying waste with the help of organic
bioactivators. The design components start from the unloading area, the chopping
area, the processing area using biodrying boxes, the pellet area, and the storage
and packaging. The building is formed of a concrete floor, with steel pillars, and a
steel frame roof frame in the hangar. Based on the economic feasibility analysis, it
was obtained that the NPV> 0 was Rp. 49,376,253 and the Payback Period could
be fulfilled within 2.27 years, which means that this project is economically feasible
and has the potential to provide benefits. The potential offtakers or beneficiaries of
this pellet product are from the industrial sector, namely Semen Indonesia,
Indonesia Power, and PLTSa Bantargebang for co-firing. As for the domestic
sector, it comes from households such as vida housing to be used as space heaters
and stoves. |
