PT. Berau Coal is one of the coal mining companies that has an operating area in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan, with an area of PKP2B Permit (Coal Mining Concession Work Agreement) covering an area of 109,000 Ha, making PT. Berau Coal is a coal company with the largest operating license in Indonesia. PT. Berau Coal is currently divided into 5 operating areas which include Lati Mining Operation (LMO), Sambarata Mine Operation (SMO), Binungan Mine Operation 1 (BMO1), Binungan Mine Operation 2 (BMO2), and Gurimbang Mine Operation (GMO) in Seitan the operating area is side by side with communities that are directly or indirectly affected by operational activities. Every operational activity of PT. Berau Coal for mining activities requires land where the land is obtained by acquiring or applying for a permit to the Government in accordance with the status of the area of an area. Every operational activity of PT. Berau Coal requires a buffer land that aims to provide a legal framework for operational activities with the community. The buffer lands are close to the community's residence, many buffer lands for PT. Berau Coal that is not used and left to sleep. Petani Lestari "PELARI" is one of the programs run by PT. Berau Coal applies the CSV (Creating Shared Value) concept in which the program uses buffer land for use by the community around the PT. Berau Coal to increase the selfsufficiency of the community and provide added value in an economic form for the community and PT. Berau Coal. The form of the program being carried out is to utilize land owned by the community to be used as agricultural land which is then carried out coaching and provides market certainty for the commodities produced.
