As a result, it is of the utmost importance to develop innovative and efficient methods of multiple access that can meet the requirements posed by this enormous number of connections. Because it allows more than one user to share a single wireless resource, the technology known as non-orthogonal multiple access, or NOMA, is being developed specifically to address this issue. Power-domain NOMA (PD-NOMA) was the first scheme to propose this non-orthogonal multiple access. Sparse code multiple access (SCMA) is a multi-dimensional codebook- based non-orthogonal spreading technique which can load a greater number of user than number of resources, so that the overloading factor is more than 1. A serious issue is the design of the SCMA codebook. In this work, we propose a new SCMA algorithm using auxiliary signal to design the codebook. Simulated results indicate that the proposed auxiliary signal SCMA (AS-SCMA) provides BER performance improvement than conventional SCMA. text
