There are many factors behind it. But one reason causes are the increases of emission gas from internal combustion engine. The impact of climate changes has been encouraged in an electric car technology innovation. The presence of an electric cars as part of global agenda which they are collectively agree to all government in worldwide to reduce and lowering usage of carbon gas. The innovation of electric cars has been present previously in Indonesia before the tenure of Mr. President of Indonesia - Joko Widodo. However, an novelty has not reached market niches level to compete radically with the large automakers such as: Japan, Korea, USA and Europe. In the term office of Mr. President Joko Widodo (2019-2024) have concern to downstream product of mineral and coal policy as pride in the business factor that are important for the prosperity and welfare of the country. It refers to Perpres No. 55 tahun 2019 regarding to the acceleration of battery-based motor vehicles on road transportation in Indonesia. This research methods using qualitative research that will analyze the socio-technical transition of the initiative novelty technology of electric cars innovation in Indonesia from niches to regimes and landscape levels according to Multi-Level Perspective rules. This research will also show the thing that drives electric cars system innovation especially in Indonesia. The results show that the process of novelty electric cars in Indonesia carrying a uniqueness in niches level when compared to the world’s leading electric car countries. Nowadays, electric cars technology innovation especially in Indonesia is taking place in gradual transformations. There is an interaction carried out by the existing regimes to build a National Lithium Battery Manufacturing (PT.IBC). There is an interesting thing in this study, due to of the abundant nickel ore reserves Indonesia making the focus of eco-friendly transition driving seem to shift to the urgency of nickel ore exploration business which are supported by the government. Therefore, this research expected to be a recommendation for whom plays the main role in the successful transition of electric cars driving in Indonesia. text |
