Summary:The qualified performance of lecturers is needed by the university to raise the lecturer itself academic qualification, the institution performance, and satisfaction of the students. Job satisfaction of the lecturers is the root of reaching the qualified performance. When the lecturers sense the job satisfaction, they will complete their tasks with all their best shots including: capability, time and off course with all their dignity. There are some factors which can accomplish their satisfaction, in which will refer to a qualified performance, such as: transformational leadership and compensation system. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This research tested the effect of transformational leadership and compensation system on job satisfaction and the performance of lecturers by taking Udayana University as a case. 150 lecturers of Udayana University were observed by giving them questioner as a data entry. The statistic approach of the research would be Structural Equation Modeling with LISREL 8.8 program to process the data. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The result was transformational leadership and compensation system partially and simultaneous gave a positive effect and significant on the job satisfaction of the lecturers. The transformational leadership and compensation system also had the same effect to the lecturer performance, directly or indirectly which caused by the job satisfaction. Furthermore, the transformational leadership and compensation system influenced the performance of lecturer partially or simultaneous. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The conclusion is a better job satisfaction and lecturer's performance on a university institution especially at Udayana University will be reached if there is a suitable transformational leadership and compensation system due to the institution, so that the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi which is the goal of each lecturer can be accomplished.
