The base map for the 1 : 5.000 scale.

The Lithostratigraphy of Beruang Tengah consist of Granodiorite intrusives, Diorite intrusives, dacites, andesites, clay and tuff. There are 4 stages of alteration-mineralization found in Beruang Tengah : (1) Serisite-Chlorite-Biotite zones with dissimineted molibdenite and magnetite grains (T > 350 C) and the alteration found is potassik type, (2) Quartz-Serisite-Chlorite zones with dissimineted pyrite, chalcopyrite, magnetite, hematite (T 275 C-350 C) and the alteration found is phyllic type, (3) Epidote-Chlorite-Calcite (T 200 C-300 C) and the alteration found is prophyllitic type, (4) Hlite-Kaolinite-Monmorilonite zones (T 150 C- 200 C) and the alteration found is argillic type. The assay results of limited rock samples collected show that the higher copper results ( > 1000 ppm ) are associated with the samples collected from the upper most part of Beruang Tengah rivers, which are from the potassic alteration zone.
text
