The land is a part of the land that includes land and all aspects that affect it both naturally and artificially. The land has a fixed nature, the amount is limited and cannot be changed. The implementation of population activities will always use the land as a place to carry out activities and will affect the value of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is the total value generated from goods and services produced in an area within a certain time. Lampung Province is located in a strategic area because the gateway to the island of Sumatra, which connects the islands of Java and the islands of Sumatra Sumatra, so that it is widely accessed by the public, both from the island of Java, the island of Sumatra, or Sumatra This other region in Indonesia is the third most populous province on the island of Sumatra after North Sumatra and South Sumatra provinces, the total population of Lampung Province in 2014 was 8,026191 people. By 2021, the population will increase to 9,081,792 people, the increase in population in Lampung Province will be followed by the need for places and facilities for carrying out community life activities. A high population and population activity in various sectors will affect the regional income of Lampung province and will need land as a place to carry out activities. Therefore, it is necessary to research the relationship between land use area and Gross Regional Domestic Product in Lampung Province to see how much influence population activities have on regional land cover in Lampung Province. This study uses data on the GRDP value of Lampung province from 2014 to 2021 which was obtained from the Central Statistics Agency for Lampung Province and used land cover data obtained from the results of Landsat 8 image classification from 2014 to 2021. The results of the classification have been tested for accuracy. with the overall accuracy generated in the 2014 classification is 94.8%, the 2018 classification is 90.6% and the 2021 classification is 91.3% the value generated in the three years of the classification can be categorized as very good. There are 7 classes resulting from land cover classification which include paddy fields, built-up land, forest land, plantation land, water bodies land, pond land, and vacant land. The data analysis technique used in this research is the correlation analysis and linear regression analysis by using a combination of time series data and cross-section which is commonly called panel data. The results of the correlation analysis show that the GRDP value in total is correlated with built-up land cover, the agricultural sector GRDP is correlated with the cover of paddy fields, built-up land, and ponds, GRDP in the construction sector and GRDP in the manufacturing sector correlated with built-up land cover, and GRDP in the real estate sector is not. correlated with any land cover class. The GRDP value which correlates with the land cover area is carried out by linear regression analysis of panel data. The results of the linear regression calculation of panel data show that changes in the area of built-up land cover in Lampung Province do not affect the total GRDP value in Lampung Province, but the built-up land cover has a negative effect on the GRDP of the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors and has a positive effect on the GRDP of the processing industry sector. and the GRDP of the construction sector. The area of paddy fields and pond land cover has a positive effect on the GRDP of the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors. text
