Description
Summary:The stress level of parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is higher than parents of children with normal conditions. This can make parents more sensitive to social stigma and to be closed off from people who do not understand their situation. A positive response in the form of happiness can minimize the stress level of parents. Social support is one of the factors that causes happiness for parents of ASD children. In this thesis, researchers designed a mobile application that can help parents of children with ASD to get social support in the form of emotional support, information, and groups. The method used in this study is the design thinking method, by collecting data through questionnaires, observation and interviews. From the research results, it was found that parents currently need a parenting application that can provide them with comfort in obtaining social support. Based on the results of testing on users, it is known that the Parentime application has been able to facilitate users in obtaining convenience from communicating, exchanging information, consulting, and has met usability points, so it can be said that the application of the concept is in accordance with user needs.
