Summary: | One of the National Center for Sustainable Transportation Technology (NCSTT) research activities as the host for the national center of excellence for transportation is developing E-Trike. NCSTT has three prototype units of E-Trike battery packs that require evaluation on the aspects of protection, thermal management, and cost. Production planning for battery pack needs to be made so that production runs effectively and efficiently based on time and cost.
This research aims to determines the planning of casing manufacturing and component assembly for 10 units of battery pack per jobbing shop. Component evaluation, visual prototyping, and analysis of the casing manufacturing and component assembly processes are conducted for material and process selection, process sequencing, and determination of production equipment and labor requirements. Production time, cost, and domestic component level (TKDN) of battery pack are also become the analysis parameters. Component evaluation, process sequencing, and time estimation are carried out using bill of material, precedence diagram, and gantt chart, respectively.
Based on the analysis that has been conducted, the results obtained are the selected materials and processes that are suitable for casing manufacturing and component assembly. The selected production equipment will be plotted in 10 work stations with 14 production workers. Furthermore, the estimated production time for 10 unit battery pack, unit cost, and TKDN of a unit of battery pack are 1308 minutes, Rp29,677,000 and 17.31%, respectively. |
