THE URBAN RESIDENTâS INTENTION TO USE ROOFTOP SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC IN THE CAPITAL CITY OF JAVA
Aligning with the commitment in Conference on Parties (COP) 26 Glasgow 2022 to achieve Net-Zero Emission (NZE) no later than 2060, Indonesia has set target that applying the share of renewable energy at 23% in 2025 and it will be dominated by solar photovoltaic. The government has prepared a 3.6 GWp...

The government has prepared a 3.6 GWp rooftop solar photovoltaic program in the National Strategic Projects to achieve renewable energy target and under the program, residential sectors expected to account for 1.5 GWp. Meanwhile in 2021 the total installed rooftop solar photovoltaic number in Indonesia reached 4.262 customers equal to 39.28 MWp. Therefore, this study aims to observe the intention to install rooftop solar photovoltaic in urban residential sector. This study uses quantitative data collection method relies on non-probability sampling and conducted through online survey using linear scale preference. The data were analysed using the combine of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) with perceived risk and product knowledge. Findings of this case study research explain that perceived risk has negative and significant relation to perceived behavioral control, and product knowledge has positive and significant relation to perceived ease of use. The paper provides insight to support the development of rooftop solar photovoltaic in Java’s capital city. text |
