Summary: | Color is an important part of everyday life and is generally used by a designer for
accents in a visual work. Color in its various applications can be influenced by
culture, for example in a celebration of the day of the dead. This color can also be
applied to animated films. There needs to be a study of how the colors of the Day
of the Dead celebrations appear in animated films, as well as how the colors of the
Day of the Dead celebrations obtained from an animation relate to culture. The
application of this color plays a role in representing the celebration of the Day of
the Dead in Coco's animation, this animation has various colors of death. The
method of determining the color map of death in the animated film scene uses
mixed-method research using a color approach. The purpose of this research is to
understand the role of the color of the Day of the Dead celebration in the Coco
animation film and to know the function of color and the shape of the color basin,
especially in the color of the Day of the Dead celebration. The results of the colors
are in the form of a color map, namely orange, yellow, dark blue, and pink. The
results of this research can be used as a reference in the visual depiction of the
color of death in an animation. |
