Fashion is also used to affirm both membership to a cultural and social group as well as personal or individual identity. Riding motorcycles tend to be known as an activity for males. Most bikers communities that are known in the society are dominated by male members. Girl's Day Out is a community formed by a group of women in the city of Bandung who are fond of motorized activities. Departing from the growing Kustom Kulture scene in Indonesia, the members' fashion style has its own aesthetic. The existence of Girls Day Out helps to introduce the Kustom Kulture fashion and change the stigma of bikers communities, especially regarding female bikers in the general public. This study aims to examine the form and role of fashion in Kustom Kulture, especially in the Girl's Day Out female bikers community in Bandung. This research is in the form of an in-depth analysis of the clothing style of members of the Girl's Day Out female bikers community by describing the aesthetic elements in clothing starting from silhouettes or lines, shapes, colours and textures, identifying visual styles influenced by Kustom Kulture, as well as how the respondents communicate their identity both personally and within the community through their respective styles of dressing. Outcomes expected in the research are to produce a formula for identifying the visual of Kustom Kulture fashion, especially for female bikers, as well as explaining other functions of fashion, namely as a means of communicating identity. text
