The eruption of Mount Sinabung has become one of the largest volcanic eruptions in Indonesia in the last 10 years. The process that took place during the eruption resulted in several notes that need attention, one of which is the evacuation across Jalan Namoukur Karo - Langkat which crosses the Gunung Leuser National Park conservation area. The Gunung Leuser National Park conservation area which holds world heritage status causes all objects in the area to receive high exposure. This is because all parties are trying to maintain the condition of the area in order to remain ideal and avoid excessive fragmentation which can cause the status of Gunung Leuser National Park to change as a world heritage. On the other hand, mitigation of the eruption of Mount Sinabung is expected to continue well regardless of the existence of an evacuation road that crosses the conservation area. This study seeks to evaluate the existence of Jalan Namoukur Karo - Langkat as an evacuation route for the eruption of Mount Sinabung. The evaluation is carried out by reviewing four main aspects, namely territorial, forestry, disaster and road procurement. The research was conducted using multi-criteria analysis method. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the existence of roads has a performance value from every aspect studied in this study starting from the regional, forestry, disaster and road procurement aspects.
