Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur, Tbk., commonly known as Bank Jatim. CSR in developing countries have its own characteristics. Combined with the practice of CSR in the banking industry, this makes a topic worth to be discussed considering the role of BPDs, as a company majority-owned by their respective provincial government or governments, in taking part to improve the local economy through their CSR programmes. BPDs are unique in a way that they do not only provide financial services; they are also expected to support the provincial government as well as its development agenda. This final project starts with identifying the business issues faced by Bank Jatim along with a root cause analysis, followed by the appropriate literature review, analysis, and finally concluded with proposed solutions on the execution of CSR in BPDs in general and Bank Jatim in particular, particularly to address the issues faced by the company. Qualitative research method is used in this final project. Data is obtained through observation during the author’s internship at the company, Bank Jatim’s reports, and interviews. Within the academic sphere, this final project can be further expanded in the future by comparing the CSR programme of Bank Jatim with that of other BPDs in Indonesia, by having a larger pool of interviewees from both the company and CSR beneficiaries, or by proposing a quantitative standard of index that can be used to calculate the contribution of BPD’s CSR programme to regional economic development. text
