Description
Summary:The wealth of Nusantara can be seen from the diversity of its cultural heritage which is rich in cultural and traditional values, one of which is artifacts. Artifacts are a form of national identity that is rich in cultural values, traditions, history, education, and so on, so artifacts should be preserved and maintained. There are various threats that can endanger the existence of artifacts including looting and theft. Based on UNESCO convention data, the existence of artefacts is increasingly threatened by industrialization, climate change, urbanization, war, etc., so that a form of sustainable preservation is needed to prevent artefacts from being threatened. In general, public has a perception that artifacts are out of date, ancient, stiff, dull, dirty, and occult. As a result, most people are not interested in learning about Indonesia's cultural heritage. With the development of technology, there is a form of implementation to help preserve cultural heritage through digitization. Digitization is simply conversion of three-dimensional physical information into digital form. To revive Indonesian cultural heritage, artifacts can be digitized as a form of threat prevention. Case studies of digitization is using 7 wooden artifacts from various regions in Indonesia which are a collection of artifacts in Bale Budaya Parahyangan. The digitization process is using photogrammetric techniques using a camera. The digitization results in the form of 3D assets are uploaded to the website platform so that they can be accessed by all groups. 3D artifacts also presented through virtual thematic exhibitions to provide information about artifacts using a dissemination strategy through gamification which can be adjusted based on the theme and narration of the artifacts, so that they can be reused for the benefit of other artifacts. Through this design, it is hoped that this can be one of the solutions to prevent Indonesian cultural heritage artefacts from various threats and can attract public interest, especially early adults.
