DETERMINING THE BEST WORK PLAN TO INCREASE RESERVES & GAS PRODUCTION IN BJR FIELD USING COMBINATION ANALYTICS HIERARCHY PROCESS & DECISION TREE

The government through SKKMIGAS has planned for Indonesia's oil and gas production of 1 million bopd and 12 bscfd in 2030. PERTAMINA EP also supports this goal, but on the other hand, most of its gas fields have experienced a sharp decline in production, one of which is the BJR Field, so this p...

PERTAMINA EP also supports this goal, but on the other hand, most of its gas fields have experienced a sharp decline in production, one of which is the BJR Field, so this problem must be addressed immediately for the company's survival. Several work plan or scenarios have been prepared to increase gas production and gas reserves, namely 5 wells Intervention, 5 Workover wells, 1 Infill Drilling well and 1 Step Out Drilling well. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used to select the best scenario from the scenarios above based on the criteria; Cost, Profit, Gas Rate, Time to Implement and Additional Reserves where the goal is to increase gas production and gas reserves. All of the alternative solutions have reservoir (subsurface) uncertainty, so sometimes additional survey is needed to increase the confidence level of the selected work plan. To see whether it is feasible or not to add data, a Decision Tree Analysis is used, so the authors combine AHP and Decision Tree in this case. The results of the AHP analysis show that Step Out Drilling is the best solution with a score of 35.6%. From the results of the Decision Tree analysis, adding survey data is still possible, where a positive EMV is obtained with a value of + 160.176 US $, so it is recommended that before conducting Step Out drilling, a survey is carried out first. The Step Out drilling proposal (BJR-INT1 well) has been proposed by the Author & Team and has been approved by Superiors, then the proposal has been proposed to Regional 2 headquarters and SKKMIGAS and has also been approved. Currently submitting a Final Investment Decision (FID) in the Upstream Subholding (SHU). In parallel with that, a survey and preparation of the drilling location are being carried out. text
