Summary: | The Cikapundung River stretches 41.76 km through West Bandung Regency, Bandung Regency, and Bandung City. As the third largest metropolitan city in Indonesia, Cikapundung River definitely affects land use conditions in the region, thus increasing the flood discharge of the Cikapundung River and causing flood disasters. In addition to land use change, high rainfall is also a factor that causes flooding. So that, the purpose of this research is to create flood control alternatives in the Cikapundung River by increasing river flow capacity and reducing flood discharge. This research is conduct by processing rainfall data to obtain the planned flood discharge with the help of HEC HMS software, simulating it in one-dimensional modeling using HEC RAS software to obtain a model of existing flood conditions, planning flood control alternatives in the form of building embankments, and planting vegetation in residential areas (land conservation).
