Description
Summary:The city of Sukabumi is classified as a medium-sized city and still growing to this day, changes in land use conditions cannot be separated from the activities of the city's development. Adjustments must be made immediately to the water resources sector to avoid flooding. According to the Department of Housing and Regional Infrastructure (2002), flooding is defined as a relatively high flow that is no longer accommodated by the river channel or canal. The causes of flooding include high rainfall, land use conversion, and others. The purpose of this research is to increase the capacity of river flow discharge in the context of flood control efforts on the Cisuda River to solve existing flood problems. The first stage of this research begins with a hydrological analysis that processes rainfall data resulting in planned flood discharge, then a one-dimensional modeling simulation is carried out to see the existing storage capacity of the Cisuda River and flooded cross section flood, then continued with flood control planning including normalization and embankment planning using HEC-RAS software, operation and maintenance planning, and preparation of a cost budget plan.
