In fact, each region has its characteristics, one of which is a traditional musical instrument such as from the East Kalimantan region, namely the Sape typical of the Dayak tribe which resembles a guitar and is shaped like a canoe carved with Dayak tribal motifs but to see the Sape musical instrument is only when there is a Culture Weekevent Region (CWR), Balikpapan City Anniversary or visit the location of the Sape musical instrument craftsmen. In the academic field it is also more focused on Mathematics than Cultural Arts. This is the background of the research to create mobile applications that are made with an attractive appearance so that students in grades IV-VI of Elementary School are interested in getting to know the traditional musical instrument typical of East Kalimantan, namely the Sape. This study uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) software development method which is systematically arranged to design a mobile application called "Samuda" as an introduction to the traditional musical instrument typical of East Kalimantan, namely the Sape, which is equipped with a play menu such as a simulator for students to try the Sape musical instrument, an audio listening menu to hear Sape's musical instruments, a menu to watch videos played as well as collaborations between Sape players, and a menu to see Sape to find out the parts of Sape text |
