The rise of stories / introductions of fictional heroes abroad that affects the knowledge of Indonesian people, especially teenagers about Indonesia's own local fictional heroes, stories of local warriors are almost extinct because there is no longer media for the current generation in the 2020-2022 period. The story of Jaka Sembung by Djair Warni in particular, in the story directly teaches heroic values such as love for the homeland, honesty, self-sacrifice and prioritizing the interests of the community more than individuals and groups. Until 2020, the values of heroism are important provisions for every generation, because the next generation will become leaders to achieve the glory of a group or surrounding community. The data above is not a reflection of the value of heroism or does not include a complete personality. According to Abu AlGhifri (2005) Heroes are figures of people who are obedient, intelligent, steadfast in their stance and persistent in striving to uphold the truth, according to the Ministry of Education and Culture are heroic characters/values such as love for the homeland, willing to sacrifice, honest and prioritizing interests. many people compared to personal or group interests (Ifa Firdausya, 2020). From the above opinion, it is a form of value in humans that refers to goodness and fighting for the common good.
